PBM Accountability Project Applauds Introduction of the PBM Reform Act (H.R. 4317)

The PBM Accountability Project, representing a wide range of stakeholders across the business, labor, patient, consumer and pharmacy communities, sent a letter to Representative Buddy Carter (R-GA) and House leadership from both parties commending introduction of the PBM Reform Act (H.R. 4317) by a bipartisan group of lawmakers.
This newly introduced legislation would address the warped incentives and broken business practices that plague our healthcare system thanks to pharmacy benefit managers. De-linking PBM revenues from drug prices and banning spread pricing is an essential solution to a persistent and worsening problem in our nation’s health care system.
